My research efforts involve the ‘omics’ approaches to learn new information about the pathogenesis of intracellular microorganisms. Understanding the molecular events that occur in pathogens in response to entering the host is the focus of my research. Determining how pathogens evade the host immune system will be helpful in finding new ways of preventing and treating diseases.
